Mawi on Stardoll

The first floor of Mawi's Stardoll Boutique

Big news. The Mawi Stardoll online store is live!

Mawi teamed up with Stardoll to create an otherworldly jewellery boutique for the virtual paper doll community that lets you create, dress, and play with your own character. The store features two floors. The first is accessible to all Stardoll users, but the second level is for Superstars only, featuring jewellery designed by Mawi exclusively for her Stardoll customers. Get a sneak peak from the picture below.

Mawi's exclusive to Stardoll designs

The creative team at Stardoll even made a one of a kind doll for the event, modeled after the designer herself, which Superstars can purchase and add to their collections.

The virtual store features a celestial backdrop inspired by our Shoreditch flagship store launch party last summer, which was bursting with bubbles, baubles and bold colors.

Our Stardoll store gives users exclusive access to Mawi’s Tutti Frutti Collection. The jewel’s pop-colour vibrancy is perfect for the playfulness of the Stardoll community and users can get creative, pairing the pieces for their spring and summer ensembles.

We’re following in the footsteps of other major labels that have also made their virtual fashions exclusively available to Stardoll users; think Lanvin, Dior, Moschino, and Alexander McQueen. Creater Lisa Wrang says these collaborations are essential to the Stardoll community as they foster user’s self-expression through fashion, play, and fantasy. Read more on the Stardoll blog.

Check out the store today! It will only be available for a limited time, so you’d better hurry.

Mawi Adds Some Crystals to Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Fire on Ice

Another absolutely amazing collaboration that came with this year’s Fashion Weeks was one between Mawi and French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.

The French nobleman presented a stunning 56-piece A/W12 collection entitled Fire on Ice at this year’s Paris Fashion Week and Mawi was the featured jewellery behind the magic. Watch the entire show here.

De Castelbajac featured Mawi’s Crystal Cocktail Ring in the striking look below.

I am in love with the painting JCDC made in honour of his good friend Mawi (peep the featured image at the top). It completely mirrors his A/W12 collection, no? His rendition of a classic Mawi necklace featuring her signature skulls and tusks is the perfect touch.

I’ll definitely be taking a cue from de Castelbajac’s collection and investing in some standout red and black pieces for my Autumn wardrobe, what to you think? We’d love to hear from you, leave a comment!

Till next time lovelies,

Maria Nichole
