Current available positions
Silversmithing Placement
We are a costume jewellery design house. We have a high end product and specialize in statement pieces as well as ‘one off’ catwalk pieces on commission.
All of our production is outsourced. Recently, we have landed a number of catwalk commissions as well as consultancy work with product design. These ‘one off’ pieces cannot be outsourced to the factories we use as they can only handle bulk orders.
We are looking for a competent student to work under the guardianship of Mawi – the designer. The task would be to create the one off pieces for the catwalk shows and prototype for consultancy work. This role will excel the student in the wider design field.
Although we are a design studio, we are not equipped for industrial processes such as soldering. You would be required to take the work away with you. you should be available for a minimum of 2 days a week for a 6 month duration.

This is a January start position, cost of materials will be covered. No other expenses are paid, students are eligible for company jewellery gifting scheme.
Product Design Placement
We have an opening for a competent design student for a long-term placement within our design team. Currently we are working on a number of high profile projects involving not only jewellery but also home ware, lighting and more abstract concepts. Currently we have an industrial design student and a product design student in our team.
The ideal candidate will have CAD skill and would be looking to improve these further. Student with an engineering or similar degree will also be considered. The nature of our product is of an industrial aesthetic. We are looking for candidates with good CAD skills, an understanding of design software like Photoshop & Illustrator.
Most of the work will involve interpreting the designers vision into CAD drawings. Our design team is hard working, proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
We are looking for equally like-minded team-players who can commit for 6 months on either a full-time or part time basis. No fees are paid, candidates are rewarded with jewellery and are in a dynamic environment where you will learn to work to a brief, meet deadlines and interpret designs and concepts.
All of our placement students have gone on to very good jobs in the industry.
